Top 10 books for teenage boys

In terms of books which will get boys reading, this is my current Top 10. There are books here which will stand the test of time, and books which are my current favourites. Nearly every book is actually part of a series.

  1. Harry Potter series. J. K. Rowling you are a genius. Enough said.
  2. Any book by Matthew Reilly. Teenage boys love Reilly’s books.
  3. The Cherub series by Robert Muchamore
  4. Tomorrow When the War Began series by John Marsden
  5. Stormbreaker  and the Alex Rider series by Anthony Horowitz
  6. I am Number Four  and The Power of Six by Pittacus Lore
  7. The Maze Runner and Scorch Trials by James Dashner
  8. Department 19 by Will Hill
  9. The Hunger Games trilogy by Suzanne Collins
  10. The Percy Jackson series by Rick Riordan.

With honourable mentions to Lord of the Rings, the Young Bond books by Charlie Higson, the Inheritance series by Christopher Paolini and the Gone series by Michael Grant.
